The new retaining plate kit for LS applications includes the COMP Cams®-exclusive Ampco camshaft retaining plate and 3-bolt cam bolt locking plate. The camshaft retaining plate offers major friction improvement over stock cast iron plates. Created out of a high-strength aluminum bronze alloy, the plate is CNC-machined and double-disc ground to precision tolerances. The retaining plate also features a CNC-machined o-ring seal for positive oil seal. This plate is a must have for racing, especially on LS applications retro-fit with a distributor that adds thrust to the camshaft.
